Pastor Josh Bevan
Lead Pastor
Pastor Josh Bevan is the founding and Lead Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church of Xenia. With a heart for Church planting and a passion for proclaiming God’s Word, he helped launch and grow Lighthouse Baptist Church of Chillicothe from just eight people to over 500 during nearly six years of ministry there. In the Fall of 2009, God led him to plant Lighthouse Baptist Church of Xenia, beginning with just eight founding members.
Pastor Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Studies and Bible from Mission University (formerly Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO). He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies through Liberty University. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in 2009.
Pastor Josh is deeply committed to biblical preaching, disciple-making, and leading a Church that loves God and loves people. He and his wife, Candace, have been married since 2002, and together they are blessed with four wonderful daughters: Lacey, Sadie, Jocee, and Caley.
Outside of ministry, Pastor Josh enjoys hiking with his family, painting landscapes, and working on small woodworking projects. He also loves spending quality time with Candace, whether they are bowling, playing pickleball, or lifting weights together.

Pastor Braydon Teach
Associate Pastor | Executive Pastor | Missions Director
Braydon Teach serves as the Associate Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Missions Director at Lighthouse. He has over 13 years of ministry experience spanning children, youth, and adult ministries. Since joining the Lighthouse staff in January of 2017, Braydon has served in multiple leadership roles, including six years as the Youth Pastor. He currently oversees all small group ministries, manages the day-to-day operations of the Church, leads the staff team, and partners closely with the Lead Pastor to implement Lighthouse’s mission and vision. He also directs the Church’s outreach and evangelism efforts and serves as part of the Lighthouse Bible Institute faculty. In addition to his ministry leadership, Braydon has experience in counseling and discipleship.
Braydon holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Trinity Baptist College and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity at Liberty University. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in April of 2023.
Braydon and his wife, Brianna, have called Lighthouse their home since 2012 and officially joined in August of that year. They have two children, Aubrey and Brett, who keep life exciting and full. Outside of ministry, Braydon enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and getting in a good run.

Pastor Alex Martin
Associate Pastor
Alex serves Lighthouse as an Associate Pastor and works predominantly with the seniors of Lighthouse and other senior living facilities. He administrates and teaches in the Lighthouse Bible Institute, devotes time to counseling, runs and maintains the Lighthouse care groups, creates teaching material, and teaches Life Groups.
Over the years, Alex has led several key ministries, including the kids’ ministry, the bus ministry, the cleaning team, and the greeting team. He also played a pivotal role in developing and managing many of the Church’s multimedia efforts in creating videos, maintaining the Church website, and overseeing Lighthouse’s radio ministry entitled Lighting Your Way.
Alex has been attending since the Church’s early beginnings as a charter member. In 2018, Alex officially joined the Church staff and has since served in a wide variety of roles that reflect both his servant’s heart and diverse skill set. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Theology and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity.
Outside of ministry, Alex loves spending quality time with his wife, Kristen, and their five children. Kristen is currently studying to become a midwife and works on-call as a doula. Alex and Kristen are passionate about family, ministry, and supporting one another’s callings. In his free time, Alex enjoys drawing, hosting game nights, and training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—a discipline he began in 2021.

Ty Cockman
Assistant Pastor | Children's Director
Ty oversees Lighthouse’s kids’ ministry as he is passionate about seeing kids become disciples of Christ. Ty enjoys teaching in a Life Group class for young marrieds and is a teacher in Lighthouse’s Bible Institute.
Before coming to Lighthouse, Ty served faithfully at Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington. He was involved with the choir, cleaning team, media team, and the kids’ ministry. Since being at Lighthouse, Ty has served in the student ministry, cleaning team, property and grounds team, and the media team.
Ty came on staff in May of 2022 as a summer intern. As the Lord provided opportunity, Ty stayed on staff for a full year before taking the role of the Children’s Director and eventually an Assistant Pastor.
Ty and Lacey were married in July of 2023. They enjoy being outdoors together as well as traveling to see God’s creation. Cam Mcfarland
Assistant Pastor | Student Ministries Director | young Adult Director
Cam McFarland became a member of Lighthouse in February of 2019 after initially attending in May of the previous year. He served as an intern from May of 2022 through December of 2023 before joining the Church staff full-time in January of 2024. In his current role, Cam oversees both the young adult and student ministries while also supporting the Church through facilities maintenance and care.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Wright State University. Cam and his wife, Mary, were married in April of 2024. In his spare time, he enjoys weightlifting, playing basketball, and spending time outdoors.

Caleb Rogers
Assistant Pastor | Music Director
Caleb leads Lighthouse’s music ministry for Sunday and Wednesday worship, directs the Lighthouse choir, and leads the student ministry music team. He facilitates our Foundations class and helps new attendees in their process towards membership. He is also the host and editor of Lighthouse’s radio ministry, Lighting Your Way, and leads the music for our Wright Place senior service once a month.
Caleb had faithfully served in the music ministries, youth group, counting team, and small group leadership at two other like-minded Churches where he was a member prior to joining Lighthouse in 2022. Caleb came on staff in the Fall of 2024.
He graduated from Wright State University in the Spring of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and a minor in Music.
Caleb is happily married to his wife Julia. They were married on June 8 of 2019. Their three beautiful daughters are Lana, Emilia, and Gemma. Caleb enjoys playing chess and talking theology, and spending time with Julia and the girls is his treasured hobby. His favorite ways to get active are basketball, tennis, and golf. He loves to learn new things on the guitar and enjoys being a movie critic when he can spare the time.

Lesa Newton
Office Manager
Lesa has been part of the Lighthouse family since 2010 and joined the staff in 2011 as Office Manager. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Church office, she leads a Ladies Life Group and coordinates women’s ministries. She also helps oversee the welcome and guest guide teams to ensure every guest feels at home.
Her ministry experience spans nearly every corner of Church life. Lesa served as Co-Director and Secretary for AWANA and Vacation Bible School, taught 1st and 2nd grade classes, and continues to mentor women in their faith.
Outside of ministry, Lesa is a proud mom to her daughter, Emilie, and loves spending time with her many nieces and nephews. She enjoys arts and crafts, big jigsaw puzzles, and relaxing by the pool.

Allison Tong
Media Director | Secretary
Allison serves as the Media Director at Lighthouse, where she also works in the Church office as a secretary, leads the Media, and helps in the student ministry. She has a heart for worship and serves faithfully on the music team, coordinating music for Vacation Bible School and other such Church events.
A graduate of East Clinton High School, Allison went on to study Sports Medicine at Wright State University. She began attending Lighthouse in 2016 and became a member that same year. Allison was also a faithful servant at Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, where she served in the music ministry. She joined the Lighthouse staff in 2022.
Allison loves spending time with her family and cherishes her role as a fun aunt to her nephew and niece. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and guitar, watching basketball, and spending time outdoors.

Jessica Young
Nursery Director | Secretary
Jessica Young serves as the Nursery Director and as an Office Secretary at Lighthouse Baptist Church. With over 25 years of experience in nursery and early childhood ministry, Jessica has faithfully cared for and nurtured young children since the age of 15. Her ministry journey has included serving at Faith Baptist Church in Beavercreek, OH; Hillside Baptist Church in Springfield, MO; and, for nearly a decade, leading the nursery ministry at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Xenia.
Before stepping into her current role, Jessica worked in Lighthouse’s Awana program for three years and volunteered in several Vacation Bible Schools. While living in Missouri, she also served as the lead three-year-old teacher at the Christian Schools of Springfield for four years.
Jessica is a graduate of Fairborn High School and began attending Lighthouse in the Summer of 2009. She officially joined the Church staff in 2015. She is married to Roger Young Jr., and they have one beautiful daughter, Emersyn.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys cooking, spending time with family, hosting cookouts, watching classic 80s and 90s movies, listening to music, and going fishing.

Lacey Cockman
Church editor
Lacey Cockman is the Church Editor, but she also serves in the kids' ministry as the Awana Secretary, and helps facilitate Growing in Grace and other kids’ events throughout the summer with her husband, Ty. Lacey has served on the music team in years past and continues to do so now. She helped with the cleaning team and assisted the Church secretaries when she could. Lacey graduated from Xenia High School.
Lacey has been happily married to Ty Cockman since July of 2023. Lacey has been attending Lighthouse from the beginning of the Church plant. She joined the staff at Lighthouse in 2023 as a part-time Office Secretary and then full-time in 2024 as an Editor. Some of Lacey’s favorite hobbies include playing piano, hiking, and reading or listening to books.

Jeanie Moore
Financial Manger
Jeanie Moore brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her dual roles as Financial Manager and toddler teacher. With over 35 years in the banking industry and more than 30 years of teaching young children, Jeanie combines financial expertise with a heart for nurturing the next generation.
She holds a degree in Financial Management from Sinclair College and has faithfully used her skills to serve both professionally and in ministry. Jeanie began attending Lighthouse in July of 2013 and officially joined the staff in May of 2022.
Jeanie is married to Buddy Moore and is the proud mother of two children, Brad and Lisa Moore. She cherishes her role as a grandmother to Adrianna and Austin Moore. Outside of her work, Jeanie enjoys tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, which is one of her favorite ways to relax and find joy in God’s creation.

Eric Woodworth
Church Planting Missionary to Honduras
Eric & Ashley Woodworth came to Xenia in 2009 to serve under Pastor Josh and help plant Lighthouse Baptist Church. After seven years of full-time ministry here at Lighthouse they were sent out as our first foreign missionaries from LBC!
In May of 2022 they planted a church, Ekklesia Larque, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. More information about Tegus Ministries can be found at their website.
